Longtime friend of the gallery, Mike Milota, will soon release his newest hand-cut 7-layer piece titled Filter Sweeps!
At TSG’s Intersensory Gathering, fans marveled at Mike's meticulously intricate paper-cutting artwork, which he cuts layer-by-layer by hand to create abstract and psychedelic designs that seamlessly combine vibrant color and tangible depth. Filter Sweeps is no exception to this wonderful recipe, and we know TSG’s collectors will be thrilled with this exclusive release.
Filter Sweeps will be available in two different variants. Filter Sweeps Classic is a full color edition using his classic vibrant Canson paper. Filter Sweeps Resonator Foil is the second variant, consisting of multiple foil layers juxtaposed against a few color layers to make the foils really pop! Each reproduction consists of 7 layers of high quality laser-cut paper, and a special 8th layer which doubles as a laser-cut certificate of authenticity.
Mike’s reproductions come as disassembled layers to enable collectors to frame them in a plethora of ways. Some collectors choose to bind and frame the layers as a single stack. Others prefer to stack acrylic between layers to increase the depth of the piece. For a very limited time, TSG will also offer a small number of reproductions that are pre-framed in acrylic and ready to hang. Although Mike's originals are one of a kind hand-cut masterpieces, his reproductions are unique in the art world because the laser-cut layers are virtually identical to the original piece. - Edition size of 10
- Measures approx. 12 x 16 inches
- Cost is $145 for paper only, or $445 framed
Filter Sweeps Resonator Foil
- 4 layers of various foil patterned paper
- 3 layers of Canson Colorline 300 gsm paper
- Edition size of 10
- Measures approx. 12 x 16 inches
- Cost is $175 for paper only, or $475 framed

- High grade cast acrylic
- Gyford Standoffs
