Back in June Shang surprised us with an interesting piece for being both unique and at the same time fitting right in with his artwork! This new painting has many elements that we come to know and love from Shang. Not only does his use of light and color remain prevalent in this painting, but it is also ripe with intrigue, mystery, and Shang's classic storytelling that leave his paintings open to the interpretation of the viewer.Shang's next print release will be this very painting, only known as "Untitled." While uncommon for Shang to not name his artworks, Shang specifically chose not to name this piece. In his words, "Because the meaning of the picture has been expressed more clearly, I don't want to give it a name, such name will be easy to imprison his thoughts." We couldn't have said it better ourselves. Call this piece whatever you please, and you will always be right!
